I've had a request from a very dear lady to help her sell a few stamps. Nan is a lady of a certain age. She's been in my stamping club for years. She's brought joy to her family with hand made cards, she's personally enjoyed the fellowship of creating together, and she's even made many cards for charity. But now ...
Did you think I was going to say she's stopped stamping? HAH!
Nope, she needs to clear some older stamps out, so she can have room to work, maybe even GET MORE! Just because you're in your eighties, doesn't mean you stop adoring the innovative new designs that come out.
So have a look here to see what's on offer on eBay. I'm doing all the handling, because, clever though she is, Nan felt that learning to be an eBay seller was a poor choice for her valuable retirement time, she'd rather enjoy her family and friends, and make stuff.
And read a tiny bit about Nan here.

That's it folks!
Does this mean I now don't have any stamps at home? Does it mean there will be no more for sale?
No way! I still have my collection, and it still tends to grow and shrink with a mind of its own. So from time to time, I'll sell some. If you see me around eBay, say "Hi", won't you? I even have nice stuff some listed now - you can see them at this link.
I'll leave this blog up because it does have some marvellous photos, and people do love to reminisce.
See ya round, and keep making things, people!

We're back, and it's Easter this time!
Well, folks, we all knew it would happen. We have come to the END of Ellen's stamps. This is the last official lot. And what a cool lot too! I've saved the Easter stamps for now, because honestly, who can think of it before Christmas?
Here's a sample:
See,that is one cool bunny. These PSX Easter stamps are pretty thin on the ground these days. And what good quality! This is another interesting one :
See, it's a bunny face, close up. It's like that well known PSX stamp of the cat face. But a bunny. I can't officially call it "rare", because who am I to know these things, but I haven't seen it around much.
Interesting note for my USA shoppers. Aussies are mad on Easter, but for whatever reason, we don't send a lot of Easter cards. So this leads me to two conclusions:
1. Don't be offended if your Aussie friends don't send you Easter cards.
2. You should buy up all these stamps.
See, that's my clever marketing skills.
Another interesting note for USA shoppers: posting parcels from Australia to the US reliable and quite fast, but it's not cheap. Last to me I looked, a 500g parcel went for about $14.10 (not too bad), but a 1kg parcel shoots up to $29.70. So keep an eye on those weights, and rest assured, I'll be doing everything at my end to get you the best deal.

More from the stamping archives...
Well, look what turned up today... Ellen's stamping book, published in magazine format. This dates back to the very earliest days of the magazine "Stamping and Papercraft".
In it, we find a pretty project involving a tea cup stamp.
That stamp is in my sale right now! And I don't mean another stamp of that design, I mean the actual one in the picture! Here's the link - it's currently selling for a positively embarrassing $1.
Incidentally, that tea pot stamp in the photo is not in the sale any more. That went to a good home ages ago!

Getting to the end now
All the items (well almost all) are priced at a positively embarrassing $1 starting price. That's just to assure you that I do want to clear these last few stamps, and get my garage space back.
There are a few more lots to do - maybe 10 more lots. I'll do them later today. Here's the link to the sale.
And just quietly, this weekend is a good time to browse on eBay. All sellers have been extended a freebie of 200 listings, meaning we are all getting a big break on selling fees. As a result, lots of people like me have brought out the box of "I must sell those one day" items. You might see some treasures.

See ya on Sunday!
Quick update, folks. I'm away this weekend, so any questions you happen to ask won't get answered until Sunday afternoon or evening. I hope that won't be a problem.

In the meantime, let's ponder the usefulness of this alphabet stamp set. That white "L" shaped thingy is a stamp positioner, an item everyone needs. Well, everyone who likes precisely positioning stamps, that is. And the letters themselves, well, they are open and cheerful, perfect for stamping complete non-sequiters on your work. Or nice messages like "Hi There".
The lower case version of this alphabet is for sale too. I have noticed over the years that I very rarely use "Sentence Case" in my super-arty creations, I always go with all "UPPER CASE" or all "lower case". So that's my justification for offering the two sets separately.
By the way, did you know, when you see a made up word like "BingleDumpf Software" or "AppleHalibut Pies", that's an example of "camel case". Or should I say, "CamelCase".
See, you learn stuff here.

Lexicophiles, unite!
Do you know, there's a cool way of getting ANY message stamped on a greeting card? You don't have to be limited to "Happy Birthday" and "Season's Greetings" any more. You can stamp messages like "Hope your headphones still work after you put them in the washing machine!"
It's called ... using alphabet stamps.
Oh, alright, I know, some people love them, and some people think picking out the message one letter at a time is the biggest bother ever. I'm in the first group.
The particular PSX alphabet would NOT have been in the sale, except that I already owned it. I love it! So one of you can have this copy of it.

Here's the latest thing I made with MY copy of the Sketch Box alphabet.
I've listed a bunch of nice alphabets, and some number sets too. I wondered about how to group them, but I realised you guys know what you want, so it's basically one set per listing.
You'll notice the auctions for the alphabet stamps are finishing BEFORE the words, fish and garden stamps. There's a terribly good reason for that, and it has to do with how eBay charges for its services, when my birthday is, and when Doctor Who is on. I won't bother you with the details. Just trust that it makes perfect sense.
