Oh, and the Vegie stamps are finishing too!

The fruit and Vegie stamps are finishing tomorrow too. What do you do with Vegie stamps? Well, here's one I made earlier. My friend is mad on her Thermomix, a super good blender kitchen gadgety thing. So, of course, for her birthday card, I used a lot of Vegie stamps. And put them in a blender!

Have fun with your stamps, folks, it's why we have them.

Flower stamps are finishing tomorrow

The Great Southern Stamp Sale keeps rolling on. The next batch of listings are closing tomorrow! These are the flower stamps (everything from the box labelled PSX flowers). I expect to be out when the auctions close (it's Royal Show time here in Melbourne), so if you have any last minute questions, ask now. I'll try to answer any questions before we hit the road.

And just for fun, we need an illustration on this post. This is a stamp that's NOT in the sale. I need it for my collection. Surely, no reason this sale needs to be one way. So let me know if you see one, ok?

Good luck and good bidding!

FAQ

All good web sites have an FAQ (frequently asked questions). Let's have an FAQ.

Q. How big is the stamp I want?
A. Yes, I know, it would have been good to include the measurements in each listing, but it is just too time consuming. To help you, though, I've photographed everything on a gridded background (a clever trick I picked up from other sellers). The squares are 1cm, and the bold lines are 5cm apart. If you need an accurate sizing, do ask, but be aware I'll have to get to the box that stamp is in. You'd better allow a day for an answer.

Q. Do you combine shipping?
A. Yes, absolutely. In some cases, but not all, it will save you money. To help you understand what your postage will cost, I've added the weights of each item as part of the header. Add them up, and don't forget to allow for some packaging. I'm pretty good at finding the best deal for you.

Q. I've just bought some stamps, and I'm bidding on more. Can I combine them?
A. Sure, within reason. I'm keeping a spreadsheet for people that are still shopping. Let me know as soon as you buy something that you want to be on the list. I'll be happy to let you gather up purchases for a week or two.

Q. How long is the sale going?
A. No idea. Until its done. I'm going as fast as I can, but I have to fit in with real life. So far I've listed, maybe, a quarter of the total?

Q. What themes are coming up?
A. There's kids stuff, birthday, lots of frames, wreaths, lots of words, a few alphabets, shells, fish (yes, fish) and my favourite, miscellaneous.

This adorable teddy stamp is currently looking for a home. It's from Penny Black, and there's three or four others from the same range, too. Here's where you look and bid.

Which witch is which?

A particularly keen buyer was asking about this stamp, but ended up getting outbid. For her benefit, here's some close up photos of The Little Witch, a stamp from Stamp World, Phillip Stead's Australian company that sadly closed a few years ago. This one is already on the way to its new owner, but if anyone can help us track down ANOTHER one, I know someone who'd like it.

Stamp sale - that's it (for this month)

And that's it, I'm done!

Oh wait, no, I'm not done at all. There's still a lot of stamps to go. We haven't even started talking about script stamps, non-PSX flowers, and children's themes.

But I've finished what I am going to list this month. The next lot will start to appear in October.

Unless for some reason I change my mind!

Here's the link to the sale ... The illustration here is a rather pretty stamp by Delafield.

If you are shopping with me, I'll get you to settle your account when the current batch of auctions finish.

And Rose Stamps are for sale

I've added to the sale everything in the box marked "Roses", including this beautiful stamp. Sigh. I remember colouring in this VERY stamp in my first stamping class, when Ellen was patiently teaching me how to use markers. This design is still as lovely as ever.

And what about this lovely one? At about 4 1/2 inches square (see, I can do imperial as well as metric!), it's a pretty enormous stamp. If you get tired of it, you could attach legs and use it as a coffee table.

Here's the link to the sale.

Teddy bear stamps are for sale!

Who doesn't love teddy bear stamps? Well, there was that one guy... wait, no, he finally agreed that they make good gifts. So, everyone likes teddy bear stamps. I've just added a whole lot of them to the stamp sale.

There's heaps of PSX ones, like these ones:

... and a bunch of these rather lovely Penny Black ones too.

As always, here's the link to the sale.
